Welcoming Aimme Bullock and Fifi McGee to the Team!

We ❤️ apprentices here at Banks Sheridan!

Well, we can’t believe it’s been a month already since our latest apprentices joined us!

We’ve been so busy getting stuck into training them that we didn’t even announce their arrival!

So, without further ado we’d like to introduce you to our newest future accounting superstars, Aimee Bullock and Fifi McGee. Watch this space for further ‘getting to know you’ posts!

Aimee and Fifi launched straight into our apprentice training plan, so over the last month they’ve been learning about:

-our collaborative and supportive culture 😊
-what we expect from them and what it means to work in a professional environment
-what we do for our clients and why, along with the different types of clients we have
-who on earth HMRC and Companies House are and what they want!
-our internal systems and software
-excel skills like analysing data and using pivot tables
-cloud software and basic bookkeeping tasks
-what a profit and loss statement and balance sheet is
-they’ve started to understand the basic payroll process

AND they’re starting to get to grips with basic double entry ….what’s double entry we hear you say….. – it’s the very core of accounting and is the system used to record transactions – it’s brilliant…. it’s clever…. it’s difficult to get your head around at first…. but then it’s just great!

They have even been enrolled onto their AAT courses and had their first lesson – how have they managed to squeeze all that learning in??

This is just the beginning….we’re not even at the tip of the iceberg….we’re only just on the boat rowing towards it!

We’re so excited to have Aimee and Fifi start their accounting career with us – welcome aboard on your journey with us!
